The WHY of RestorHER

The stats below reflect just a few of the reasons why the organization assists divorced women:

Almost 50 percent of the parents with children experience poverty after the divorce

27% of recently divorced women had less than $25,000 in annual household income

65% of divorced mothers receive no child support

Roughly 1/3 of divorced women lose the marital home

About 51% of divorced or separated women report higher stress levels, which can increase the risk of depression and anxiety

At RestorHER, our vision is that every divorced woman has the knowledge, confidence, and resources to reclaim her independence, achieve financial security, and establish a stable and fulfilling life.

RestorHER formally known as RedevelopHER 501(c)(3) NPO.

As a woman that has experienced the devastating of effects of divorce, I turned my pain into purpose, using my own divorce and setbacks to empower other women. I know the devastation of losing self-worth, but I also know the strength in being restored.

Our work provides mental health support, financial literacy, and community resources to help women not just survive but thrive. By lifting one woman, we uplift families and communities. We transform pain into power, reminding women they are worthy of healing and new beginnings.

“You don't need to have gone through a divorce to support a divorced woman.”
